The chapter starts with an outline of the diverse economies’ perspective and its application to the Pacific. In Part A, we present a broad literature review of existing studies on the climate impacts for agriculture and fisheries, tourism and infrastructure. In Part B, Indigenous approaches to the economic impacts of the climate crisis are explored. These revolve around Indigenous innovation, solidarity economies and resilience. In doing so, this chapter privileges Indigenous agency within constraining global conditions.
